sunshine 2 #1 March 25, 2005 Wow, talk about an "interesting" time. I locked Peanut in the bathroom with me so i could bathe her. She was whining the whole time. Jelly was standing outside the door whining cause he wanted to know what was going on. That was one helluva workout. Now poor peanut is trying to lick herself dry and Jelly is looking at her trying to figure out why she's all wet. God i love my cats. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
mailin 0 #2 March 25, 2005 I like to turn the shower on, fill the tub up a few inches - throw the cat in and close the shower doors. One time she jumped to the top of the shower doors, held on for a few seconds before falling back into the water Haven't laughed that hard in a while. Its funny to see a wet cat too JenArianna Frances

mailin 0 #5 March 25, 2005 ya, its not nice... but better than trying to do it in the sink! She broke 3 flour canisters the last time I tried that. THis is 'safer' for everyone involved! JenArianna Frances
sunshine 2 #6 March 25, 2005 QuoteI like to turn the shower on, fill the tub up a few inches - throw the cat in and close the shower doors. Unfortunately i don't have a bathtub, just a shower. I filled up a big rubbermaid container and used that to dip her in. It's her own fault, if she wouldn't get so smelly, i wouldn't give her a bath. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! mailin 0 #7 March 25, 2005 QuoteIt's her own fault, if she wouldn't get so smelly, i wouldn't give her a bath. Thats the way I look at it too! If my cat wasn't so fat she could probably bend enough to lick her hind quarters Guess that diet food I'm feeding her isn't working too well... cause regular baths are the only solution! My wife holds him, and I wash. I've never heard such god awful crying sounds in my life! Thank god he's de-clawed, or I'd bleed to death. It's your life, live it! happythoughts 0 #12 March 25, 2005 QuoteI just gave my kitty a bath It must be important to give a cat a bath because all the mother cats give their kittens baths. I hate the way their fur sticks to your tongue.

antifnsocial 0 #17 March 25, 2005 I wipe my kitty down with baby wipes once in awhile. It saves on fingers bitten to the bone and bloody scratches. Please feel free to reply to my posts and pm's, but only if you're smart enough to understand what they really mean.

cbain 0 #19 March 25, 2005 I'm going to have to take Frodo to the vet today. He's got a patch of fur missing on one shoulder and the skin looks all icky there. Not sure what's going on. I saw it a couple weeks ago but it was a little spot and I just figured he was playing too rough with one of the other cats but now it's a pretty good size spot. He's not going to be happy and neither is my checkbook. Oh well. Christina
SpeedRacer 1 #20 March 25, 2005 Just curious, but why do people give their cats baths? I mean, unless the cat has gotten something nasty all over them, is it really necessary? I didn't give my cat a bath, except for one time when he was really young & got up in my girlfriend's ceiling tiles & got dust & dirt all over him. Apart from that, just let the cat clean themselves. mailin 0 #22 March 25, 2005 Some cats are really bad about cleaning themselves. My female cat has long hair and is too fat to lick her hind quarters. She requires 'frequent' baths... JenArianna Frances
